Oscura gate and Clock Tower
This is the oldest entrance to the city; the only one of the four entrances that reaches the urban centre in a quadrangular form; a distinguishing trait of Trapani in ancient times. The gate to the city opens on Via Torrearsa, realized in the eighteenth century by Giacomo d’Aragona. The old “Casalicchio” and “di Mezzo” quarters are at its shoulders.
